Important note

All dimensions given on this page are approximate. Modifications are possible by arrangement, depending on the type of wood and technical requirements. The pictures show exemplary profiles.

Handrail

The handrail of a staircase is touched every day and is particularly popular if it is made of real, solid wood. This beautiful material is particularly impressive with its natural appearance, pleasantly warm feel and beautiful profiling, which makes it a delight to the touch. In addition to a good grip, it ensures safety and support when climbing stairs – day after day. Stylish, elegant design in various shapes, whether rounded or angular, blends harmoniously into any architectural design.

Post

The vertical element of a staircase, the post, is attached at the beginning, end or turning points of the staircase. It stabilizes the railing and supports the handrail. In terms of design, posts have a formative effect on the entire living concept. With baubles and ornaments, it creates a classic, playful character and goes perfectly with country house styles or old buildings. In contrast, a simple, straightforward post fits perfectly into a purist, modern living concept. The choice of materials, shapes and decorations on the mullion have a significant influence on the atmosphere of the room.

Balusters

The spindles of a staircase – also known as balusters – are the vertical elements between the treads and the handrail. They provide stability to the balustrade and ensure safety by preventing people from slipping through. Like newel posts, spindles come in a variety of styles: from delicately turned designs that complement traditional interiors to minimalist, straight forms. As with other components, the choice of material – whether wood, metal or glass – influences the overall character of the space while also serving as a crucial safety feature of the staircase.

Wood types & finishes

A solid wood staircase is like a chameleon: depending on the type of wood and color scheme, it adapts perfectly to the living space. We offer you a wide selection of different woods, surfaces and color tones to choose from – naturally light, honey-colored or in our exclusive dark chocolate or black nuances. Oiled wood emphasizes the elegant grain and gives the staircase a matt, natural surface. We only use wood from sustainable forestry.
